Hello

I remember the day when I truly decided that enough was enough. I left myself no choice but to stop living life how I was living it. I got on my knees in my living room floor, and began to pray sincerely. My son walked into the room and got on his knees next to me and placed his hand on my back as I prayed. I truly handed everything over to the Lord in that prayer, and he heard me. Within the next few months, God took me from the run down apartment we were living in, to a family members home. It was while I was there, that I was invited to a church where my life changed forever. 

 

 To be honest, I was upset that I had to go to church that day. I had already started my day and was separating clothes to put in the washer. Everyone in the house was going to church and I decided that I wasn't. My son came into my room and said "Mom, why aren't you coming to church? The whole family is going." Immediately, I caught an attitude because now I needed to be an example. Can you believe I was actually upset I had to go to church even though I was praying for God to find a church for me?

 

I didn't even do my hair! I put my leave out in a ponytail, (YES, my leave out in a ponytail) and put on a hat. When I got to the church I did not even want to sit near the fam. I sat on the opposite side of the church alllllll the way in the back. But guess what? God had a plan to answer my prayer no matter how I felt about it.

 

As I sat in the back, I sensed the Lord tell me, "Is this not what you were praying and asking for?" So I sighed and humbled myself. I squeezed my eyes shut. I began to pray and all of a sudden, I felt myself surrounded by the leaders of my church. They prayed for me until I felt the Holy Spirit come over me. God met with me this day and I experienced deliverance.

Oh, how the zeal of the Lord came over me! I decided then to become a servant of the Lord, Jesus Christ. That's how my walk with God started.
